Hugo Max presents his fifth UK tour performing live soundtracks on solo viola alongside masterpieces of silent cinema.

Halloween classics Nosferatu, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Häxan and The Lodger are given visceral new life through Max’s dramatic scores.

Joining the programme this year are two pivotal works celebrating their centenary: Lotte Reiniger’s animated triumph The Adventures of Prince Achmed and Teinosuke Kinugasa’s avant-garde nightmare A Page of Madness.

A celebration of mystery, magic and madness for all ages, Max will make appearances at many of the UK’s most cherished cinemas.
